MCIC Community Vitality Index
The MCIC Community Vitality Index (CVI) uses multidimensional indicators to
quantify the relative potential of neighborhoods and geographic communities in
the Chicago metropolitan region. CVI produces percentile scores (1-100) for
Social Capital, Economic Potential, and Community Amenities, indexed at the
census tract level, for all tracts in the six-county region. City of Chicago
and County benchmarks allow comparisons to the region as a whole.
