Matricula Cards, New Market Opportunities
and Changing Immigration Law
MCIC's Community Development, Government and Banking Forum
February 10, 2004
More than 200 people attended MCIC 's recent Community Development, Government
and Banking Forum, Matricula Cards, New Market Opportunities and Changing
Immigration Law, co-sponsored by the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago.
Represented were 12 foreign consulates, 36 banking institutions, 14 government
offices and an assortment of non-profit groups, lenders, regulators and policy
and research organizations. Many joined us from other parts of the U.S. a few
came from other countries!
We have received many inquiries since the Forum looking for
additional information and resources. We constructed this web page in response
to that need. Here you will find links to the program, MCIC
's presentation on the growing acceptance of Matricula and ITIN cards at
financial institutions across the country, 2 maps of accepting banks in
Chicago, pictures from the event, the evaluation of the Forum as well as an
order form for maps MCIC created regarding Matricula use which were on display
at the Forum. We will soon be adding a section on "Lessons Learned" from the
Forum which will include comments from panelists and attendees.
Thank you to our wonderful panelists, Forum attendees and the staff of the
Federal Reserve Bank for making the Forum a huge success!
